Accessories
We guarantee all A&J Washroom Accessories products to be free of material defects and defects from workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment.
Hand Dryers
Our JetAir U1511EA Series hand dryers are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship for a period of two (2) years from date of shipment.
Our JetAir U1512EA, U1521EA & U1525EA series hand dryers are warranted to be free of defects from workmanship for a period of five (5) years from date of shipment.
Mirrors
We guarantee our mirrors against silver spoilage for a period of fifteen (15) years under normal use. This guarantee includes all ¼” plate glass mirrors including tempered, laminated, and all other ¼” safety glass mirrors.
Product Weight Limits
Grab Bars
All A&J Washroom Accessories grab bars that have an offset of 1½” will withstand loads in excess of 900 lbs. when properly installed. Other grab bar configurations will sustain loads of up to 250 lbs. when properly installed.
Shower Seats
All shower seats are manufactured to support up to 300 lbs. when properly installed. (See shower seat data sheets for individual unit weight limitations.)
Special Mirror Information
Stainless Steel Mirrors
A&J Washroom Accessories informs our customers that stainless steel mirror differs in optic quality from plate glass mirror. In larger sizes, stainless steel mirror is subject to a wavy distortion, or “oil canning,” for which A&J cannot be held responsible. Because of this, we recommend a maximum size of 72 x 47 ½ for all stainless steel mirrors. Larger sizes are available by special request only.
Stainless steel mirrors provide a measure of safety from broken glass that is ideal for areas of security concerns; however, you and your customer should be aware that the reflective qualities of stainless steel mirrors may not be acceptable where the highest reflective image quality is required.
Tempered Glass
Because of the inherent visual characteristics of tempered glass, A&J Washroom Accessories informs our customers of the following concerns:
- All tempered or heat strengthened glass displays a certain degree of bow or warp. Once the glass is silvered these inconsistencies are accentuated, causing reflected images to be distorted.
- Tempered mirror may exhibit rubs, blemishes or scratches from the tempering process that are not easily noticeable in clear tempered glass.
- Tempered mirror does not meet ASTM Mirror Standard C1503.
For these reasons, A&J Washroom Accessories cannot warrant tempered mirror for appearance.
While tempered mirrors are ideal for use in areas of security concerns such as prisons, schools, police stations, and hospital wards, you and your customer should be aware that the reflective quality of tempered glass is not consistent with untreated plate glass. An alternative to tempered mirror where safety materials are required is Cat II vinyl backing, which will not affect the reflective qualities of plate glass mirror. Another option is laminated glass, which provides higher quality reflectivity than tempered mirror.
NOTE: Guarantee does not cover damages caused by improper installation, maintenance, misuse, abuse, or vandalism. Guarantee covers only those units still used by the original purchaser. A&J Washroom Accessories reserves the right to examine and determine cause of damage prior to acceptance of any claims.
